How much does a pre-purchase inspection cost?
$189.99 flat, anywhere in Toronto and the GTA. No travel surcharge, no upsells, no add-ons.
How long does the inspection take?
Usually about 60 to 90 minutes with the car, including the road test. Your written report lands the same day.
Do you come to the car?
Yes. I'm mobile — dealership lot, private seller's driveway, or your own. You don't have to move the car anywhere.
What do you check?
Engine, transmission, brakes, tires, suspension, steering, undercarriage, leaks, electrical, warning lights, body and paint, accident signs, interior, maintenance history, road test, and a CARFAX vehicle history report.
Is a vehicle history report included?
Yes — every inspection includes a CARFAX report, so you're covering mechanical condition and history in one visit.
Do you take the car apart?
No. This is a visual, hands-on and road-test inspection. I don't remove interior panels, drop the transmission, or open the engine — anything that would need disassembly gets flagged for a shop.
Will you tell me whether to buy the car?
Yes. Every report ends in one of three verdicts: BUY, BUY WITH CAUTION, or WALK AWAY — with the reasoning spelled out so you can decide for yourself.
Do you work with dealers?
No. I don't sell cars and I take nothing from any shop or dealership. You're the only one paying me, and that's how it stays.
Can I use the report to negotiate?
That's most of the point. Every finding comes with a repair cost range for the GTA, so you can put a dollar figure on what you're asking to come off the price.
Is the inspection a warranty or a guarantee?
No. An inspection reports the car's condition on the day I see it. It isn't a warranty and can't predict future faults.
